As Father’s day comes to close, we have to salute the fathers. Bytown blog is a media company the prides itself on being a voice for men and more specifically black men. One of the most taboo conversations is the impact of fathers in modern society. It is easy to lean on the negatives; deadbeat dads, abusive dads and inconsistent fathers. Why not highlight the good? Why not highlight the men that are doing it right? Why must we always glorify the great mothers but not the great fathers? If no one will, we will! Salute to the great fathers who go above and beyond for their children!
Salute to the father figures who take on the most important role in a family. There is no greater honor to man…than being a father. Leading a family, the right way, the respectful way and creating a legacy. Today we honor the great dads, we salute you, not because you fixed the deck, or cleaned, or cooked, or paid the bills, or provided guidance, or protected the house, no! We salute you because of the man you are and legacy you have created.
